There are four sections working in this museum, namely section of education, institutional, collection, equipment. Museums usually arraneg exhibitions of paintings that are displayed in the museum hall. It usually also holds a quiz contest every year, painting competition, and Mading . The efforts undertaken are to make the people, especially school children know  the importance of culture. Therefore, the museum arranged  a socialization event. There is also a museum entrance to the school.

This museum stores the Geographic / Geologic  collections in the form of maps and types of rocks; Collections of biologics, archeology, historics, numismatics, and ceramics in the form of jars, plates, bowls, spoons, etc. Which come from China, Vietnam, Japan, Europe, and local ceramics , that is Singkawang. In addition to displaying existing collections in the Permanent Exhibition Room I, the  Provincial Museum of West Kalimantan also displays replica and miniature collections that are in the plaza Anchor of foreign merchant vessels.
