welcome to GUNUNG PALUNG....watch this video

the national park of Mount Palung  which has an area of 90,000 hectares is one of nature conservation areas that has a high biodiversity value. Located at Padu Banjar, Simpang Hilir, Ketapang, this place stores various ecosystem types , such as mangrove forests, swamp forests, peat swamps, freshwater swamp forests, tropical forests, and mountain forests that are always covered in fog. This national park is the only Dipterocarpus tropical forest of the best and the largest in Borneo. Approximately 65 percent of the area is still a primary forest that is not disturbed by human activity and has many communities of plants and wildlife. Noted that there are 190 species of birds and 35 species of mammals that act as sowers of plant seeds in the forest. If you are lucky, you can also meet Orang Asli of  native Kalimantan in this place.

n this video, "Gunung Palung is My Palace", orangutan puppets teach us how real orangutans live in the forests of Gunung Palung National Park in West Kalimantan, Indonesia.
This is our favorite "oldie but goodie," originally produced by the Gunung Palung National Park Authority
