1. The Grave of Tanjungpura


The founding history  of Ketapang City can not be separated from  the Kingdom era. In this area once stood the Kingdom of Matan Tanjungpura which is the oldest kingdom in West Kalimantan. Because of the greatness of his name, no doubt a number of institution names  are perpetuated inherent and united such as Tanjungpura University of Pontianak, and Kodam XII Tanjungpura which has a region in West Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.




If you want to visit, the site of Tanjungpura Kingdom is located  by the side of the Pawan river which is located in the Village Tanjungpura in the district of Muara Pawan of which distance  is about 45 KM from  Ketapang. Many pilgrims   visit this place, before they visit  a number of districts or islands in the regency of Ketapang
